There weren’t too many adventures this week, because it was the last week of my program and I was scrambling to tie up as many loose ends of my project as possible, prepare a talk for the end-of-summer symposium, draft a poster for the BMES conference, etc.
My one concession to fun was taking off on Thursday afternoon at the invitation of a friend I’d met at Gimle to attend QueerCon, a small queer gaming convention being held conveniently in Stockholm’s old town. The art above isn’t mine—I was still working on crocheting blanket hexagons—but its painter kindly let me snap a picture to remember it by.

Goodbye fika (Swedish afternoon snack-time with coffee and pastries) with the lab!
